2023
MCS has expanded corrosion investigation, bespoke testing and assessment services to wastewater treatment, agricultural and space agency sectors from 2022. Meanwhile, MCS continues to provide corrosion and protection services for water systems of buildings/houses and corrosion inhibitor testing.
Dr Zuojia Liu became a committee member of BSI.
2021
Dr Philip Munn is retiring in April 2021. We are grateful for his massive contributions to the corrosion investigation and testing field of building service sectors. We wish him the best of luck in retirement. Dr Zuojia Liu will maintain the management position for MCS's daily operation after Dr Philip's retirement.
2020
We are delighted to announce that Dr Zuojia(George) Liu joins MCS as Senior Manager to work with Dr. Philip Munn to manage the business operation of MCS.
2018
We are delighted to announce that MCS has now been bought by Sandberg LLP, a materials and engineering consultancy based in London. Sandberg is a family concern, which was founded in 1850 by the present MD’s great-great grandfather!
Although the ownership of MCS has changed, things will continue much as before with MCS being run by Dr. Phillip Munn from our labs in Darley Dale. However, our link with Sandberg will mean that we have ready access to additional analysis and testing equipment as well as expertise in related areas.
2001
MCS was founded in 2001 by Dr Phil Munn. Since then, MCS has focused on water system corrosion and protection services for commercial and domestic buildings over the years. MCS has also developed standard testing approaches for chemical additives testing.
