Failure Investigation

MCS provides failure investigation to a wide range of industries, such as the building service sector, process industries, rail and automotive and marine sector with the main focus on metallic materials.

Corrosion and Materials Consultancy

MCS is a strong advocate of preventing issues before they occur. MCS, in conjunction with Sandberg, can offer advice on materials selection and design to minimise the risk of corrosion and failures.  

Expert Witness

MCS can provide legal support and expert witness particular to corrosion issues in the building service industry.

Laboratory Testing

MCS is WRC-NSF approved and also ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 accredited.  MCS laboratory is equipped to carry out testing in accordance to NACE ASTM G31-12a, ASTM G1 and BS EN ISO 8407 or to customer specifications (bespoke).

Water Analysis

MCS provides a full water analysis service including the supply of water sample bottles and free-post envelopes.  With our vast expertise in the heating/chilling/cold/hot water service industry, we are uniquely placed to provide interpretation of the results, e.g. for compliance with BSRIA BG29, BG50 and CIBSE.
